Home Groups

A new command I give you:
Love one another.
As I have loved you,
so you must love one another.
John 13:34

Home groups provide genuine opportunities for connecting with others. We pray and learn together, study the Bible together, have fun together, and serve together.

Each group is different. Some have formed studies because they share a “place-in-life” status. Others are a mix of ages, marital status, etc. Some meet for a short season and others meet for several years.

Finding a Home Group

You can learn more about current home groups using our View Home Groups tool. The tool provides information about each home group, for example, location and meeting schedule. The Contact link for each home group is used to contact the home group leader. You are welcomed to visit around as you look for a home group!

Where and when do home groups meet?

Church members host and lead small-group studies in homes throughout Beaverton, Tigard, and the Portland Metro Area. A handful of groups also meet at the church. See the list of available groups for information about the location, dates, times, and childcare availability.

What do the groups study?

Some group leaders decide to follow the Sunday message. Others go through a book of the Bible or a study book. Ask the group leader for more information.

I haven’t studied the Bible much at all. Is that OK?

Come and visit—whether you just opened the Bible or you’ve been reading the Bible for years. Attend a home group and find the right mix of people. If you are new to reading the Bible, you might also want to attend the Essential Christianity Sunday Class that our Senior Pastor Scott Gilchrist teaches on Sunday mornings. This class includes many of the foundational truths of the Christian faith

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me. Colossians 1:28-29
