Abide

Spend Time In The Bible

Pastor Scott Gilchrist introduced the Abide method as a means to help us grow in our relationship with God through time spent in the Bible and prayer. Spending time with God regularly … daily … helps us grow in our understanding of abiding in Christ in our home, at work, in school, and in every area of our lives.

Abide Method

The Abide method is based on copying out by hand passages of the Bible each day of the month. Each of the 30 scriptures listed for the month takes about 10 minutes or less to copy out. As you simply copy these texts out of your Bible, listen to God’s voice. Don’t hurry, simply abide and enjoy each day for 30 days. Pray like the Psalmist, “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.” Ps 119:18.
