June 16th - Church and Downtown San José

Hey folks! This is Samuel and Regan! Today was our second day in San José. We started off the day with a hearty Costa Rican meal. Then, with food in our bellies and joy in our hearts, we Ubered to a local church. We sang some worship songs in Spanish, one of which we knew. The entire sermon was in Spanish, but the slides with the Scripture helped!

After church, we took a public bus into downtown San José to explore the local markets. After grabbing some lunch and walking the streets of the city, we headed back over to our house.

When we got back, we had some much needed rest and spent devotional time with the Lord. Then, we had dinner with the students from the school we will be ministering at. We have really enjoyed quality time we have had with the students and think that these relationships will help us to effectively work together to reach the school this week.

After they left, we had a team meeting. We worshiped and then prepared for the week of ministry that starts tomorrow!

Please be praying for us tomorrow as we go into the school for the first day. Pray that we will form connections with the students that lead to solid Gospel conversations.
