THE ABIDE METHOD
SPEND TIME IN THE BIBLE
Pastor Scott Gilchrist introduced the Abide method as a means to help us grow in our relationship with God through time spent copying out Scripture. Spending time with God daily helps us grow in our understanding of abiding in Christ in our home, at work, in school, and in every area of our lives.
THE ABIDE METHOD
The Abide method is based on copying out by hand passages of the Bible each day of the month. Each of the 30 scriptures listed for the month takes about 15 minutes or less to copy out. As you simply copy these texts out of your Bible, listen to God’s voice. Don’t hurry, simply abide and enjoy each day for 30 days. Pray like the Psalmist, “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.” Psalm 119:18.
Watch the Abide Video to learn more about this powerful method of spending time with God in His word.
HOW TO GET STARTED:
Each of the passages below are meant to be hand-copied each day (see Deuteronomy 17:18-20)…as you do so, ask God to show you “wonderful things from His word” (see Psalm 119:18), then take the time to re-read, ponder and meditate on His word.
