	This July and August, "Join us for Fun in the Sun" during Sunday Summer Nights 2008 at Southwest Bible Church. Every event takes place outside on our north lawn and wraps up with free refreshments and family activities. Admission is free for all ages! Nursery care is provided at every event through age 2. Seating is provided, or bring your own blanket and/or chairs. Schedule of Events July 13 - 10 am Outdoor Worship & Community Picnic Join us for a Community Picnic following our 10 am service. Includes a free picnic lunch, field games and activities for everyone in the family. July 20 - 6 pm Outdoor Concert: RESCUE A national award-winning vocal group based out of Portland, RESCUE tours internationally and is played regularly on radio throughout the world. July 27 - 6 pm Outdoor Concert: Crosswinds A night of sacred music... but in swingin' style! Listen to the Crosswinds big band LIVE in concert out on our north lawn. Free admission and stay afterwards for free refreshments. August 3 - 4 to 8:30 pm Special Event: Car Show III You can learn more about our third annual car show at the Car Show III homepage. August 10 - 6 pm Outdoor Worship with Guest Speaker: Luis Palau Whether on stage speaking to a crowd of 300,000, counseling with pastors, or in a White House prayer meeting, international evangelist Luis Palau consistenly remains one of America's most effective and compelling spiritual communicators today. Learn more about Luis at palau.org. Portland CityFest Southwest Bible Church is excited to partner with Luis Palau's Portland CityFest at Waterfront Park, Aug. 22-23. Visit the Sunday Summer Nights tiki hut in the church foyer to learn more about how Southwest is participating in community outreach service projects and even sending individuals to serve as festival counselors at CityFest. August 17 - 6 pm Outdoor Worship Join us for an evening of worship in song and relaxed fellowship in the beautiful outdoors. And don't forget to linger after the service for treats and family field games! August 24 - 6 pm Outdoor Concert: Evan Wickham A worship leader and singer/songwriter from Vista, CA, Evan's passion is to lift up the name of Jesus through his contemporary music ministry.
